The first album that Chicago released was called "Chicago Transit Authority," released in 1969. The band immediately began to tour nationally after, and the band reached a spot in the Top 20, without the benefit a single hit from it. It was embraced by the underground stations and became a hit, earning Chicago a Gold Record.
